Anthurium ZxM 'Bleeding Heart'

For quite a while, 'Bleeding Heart' was called 'selected'. So if you have an older plant tag that has ZxM 'selected' written on it as either the motherplant or pollen donor, then this is the "mother" or "father".

I selected her in 2022 from the very first Doc Block shipment that came to Europe. She was a tiny ~4-5 leaf seedling and I actually felt - after looking at the entire batch of ZxM that was available for an entire hour - that she has something special. And how right I was!

ZxM 'Bleeding Heart', although not variegated herself, carries var. genetics. Some of her seedlings (so far ~5-10% of the seeds) turn out variegated. I've had all kinds of colors so far, from white to yellow, even some pink and mint variegated seedlings too.

Anthurium King of Spades

This is one of my all-time favorite Anthuriums. A. King of Spades, aka "HU" (which means Haji Ulih => the original breeders' name).

I've imported this as a King of Spades 'F1' back in early/mid 2022 - from Karteldaun in Indonesia. Ever since, I've been mesmerized by this beautiful plant and I'm happy I got this one - because it's one of the best KoS I've seen in the world.

I've created multiple crosses with it, such as: King of Spades x Michelle /// King of Spades x ZxM 'Bleeding Heart' /// King of Spades x forgetii dark /// King of Spades x debilis and a few more.

Anthurium Mr. Worldwide #2

Mr. Worldwide is a cross that was done quite a while ago. The parents of that cross were A. 'Dorito' port and A. 'Indo' port. Two absolutely stunning specimens, that resulted in absolutely stunning seedlings.

I've personally got 2 different Mr. Worldwide clones. The one I acquired first, I numbered #1. This one here is my #2 clone. Its always been a fully flat and even slightly negative sinus plant and absolutely one of my favorites.

Anthurium Mr. Worldwide #1

I don't think I need to say much about this one. I've already said it all just above this one.

This is my first Mr. Worldwide. Therefore my Mr. Worldwide #1 clone. A super easy and fast grower that produces massive leaves and flowers.

Anthurium antolakii 'round' x 'Felix'

This is a selected specimen from Grant's antolakii (BVEP) 'round' crossed with Justin's antolakii (BVEP) 'Felix'. That cross was only done once and quite a while ago too. In my opinion, one of the best BVEP batches, ever.

This specimen is extremely dark, has beautiful brown emergent leaves with a tiny bit of red and neon green/yellow veins.

Anthurium Black Widow x Michelle

This BWxM comes from Doc Blocks original cross, where he pollinated his Black Widow clone with pollen from his A. Michelle. Not many of them turned out this beautiful. Most turned out like a low colored Michelle, kind of looking like a not-so-great crystallinum. Only very few of that seed batch got a lot of the Black Widow genetics and I feel very lucky that this clone did.

I acquired my clone from a close friend - a great European collector.

This clone is extremely sought-after in the world of collectors. And so far, only 1 clone has been sold to a US-based collector. I have a lot of crosses planned with this beauty - which are all 2026 projects.

Anthurium Black Widow x RVC #1

This is the first 'Black Widow' x 'Red Velvet Cake' I have acquired (I think in early 2024). Therefore, I call it my #1 clone.

It's by far the biggest of my 3 different clones, with leaves measuring 65cm+.

This clone stays a little more elongated than my other 2 BWxRVC clones.

Schaltflächenbeschriftung

Anthurium Black Widow x RVC #2

This is the second 'Black Widow' x 'Red Velvet Cake' I have acquired (I think around mid 2024). Therefore, I call it my #2 clone.

It's been a super easy grower and a good motherplant. I've created multiple crosses with it - and F2's aswell, crossing this with my BWxRVC #1.

This clone has a blue/purple/grey sheen on it's hardened leaves, stays a bit darker and rounder than #1.

Black Widow x RVC #3

This is the third 'Black Widow' x 'Red Velvet Cake' I have acquired (around mid 2025). Therefore, I call it my #3 clone.

It's the one everyone likes the most. And I'm super excited to hopefully create a lot of cool crosses, perhaps F2's with this beauty in 2026.

Anthurium crystallinum 'chocolate'

This is, in my opinion, actually a pure A. crystallinum. And yet, its much more special than "just" an ordinary crystallinum. Don't you think so?

The "chocolate" crystallinum is very sought-after for its fork-like veins and beautiful chocolate-y coloration.

Anthurium carlablackiae RA5x10

This is my favorite carlablackiae, and I've got quite a few in my collection. I imported this one in 2023 from an Anthurium collector that was very well known in the USA. He sold it to me when he left the hobby completely.

Ever since, its been an easy grower and a multiple times motherplant for me.
'RA5', her motherplant, is probably THE most sought-after carlablackiae of all time. RA5 is also known as the 'Spider' carla. And since RA5 died (and Rory never propagated her), the seedlings from Rorys original 5x10 cross became even more special.

By the way, 'RA' are the initials of Rory A. (USA)

Anthurium carlablackiae WU1 self

'WU' = Wuhoo Tropicals => a large US-based Anthurium breeder & seller.

'WU1 self' means its a selfed seedling from Wuhoo Tropicals WU1 motherplant.

I imported this carla as a large seedling in early 2024. It struggled at first, but has been a super easy grower for me and stays a little more elongated compared to, for example, my carla RA5x10.

Anthurium carlablackiae 'carlita'

Another carla? YES! I love carlas, which I hope you have figured out already.

This is a wild clone I acquired around mid 2024.When I saw this carla, her leaf shape, vein structure, coloration etc., I just had to get her. She was way too special to pass up and I've gotten a lot of very positive feedback from many big collectors and breeders.

'carlita' is, so far, the biggest carlablackiae in my collection.

Anthurium dressleri RG x carlablackiae 'Amanda'

This is one of my favorite plants. I imported this dressleri RG x carla 'Amanda' in 2023 - from a big US-based collector.

The motherplant was a selected A. dressleri 'Rio Guanche'.

The pollen donor was the famous A. carlablackiae 'Amanda'.

In my opinion, one of the best crosses ever made. And the hybrids with this as either a motherplant or pollen donor always turn out amazing, thanks to the amazing genetics this plant carries.

Anthurium Red Vein Dark Phoenix (RVDP)

This is an original clone (not a self!) of the 'RVDP'. The RVDP came from a cross of a variegated papillilaminum (var. Thai pap) and an Ace of Spades.

Its a stunning, super dark plant, with extremely deep red emergent leaves and deep red veins, even when the leaf is already fully hardened.

Anthurium (dress RG x carla 'Amanda') x BVEP

I have imported this as a small seedling early 2023 from the USA. It was bred by Grant, using his dress RG x carla 'Amanda' as the motherplant (a sibling to my dress RG x carla 'Amanda') - and his BVEP (antolakii) 'round' as the pollen parent.

Anthurium forgetii dark form

I selected this forgetii dark form in 2022. It was one of my first "selected" Anthuriums and I definitely don't regret getting this. And even though it's just a forgetii, it has always been one of my favorite plants.

Anthurium Ace of Spades dark form

This is my Ace of Spades dark form clone form Tezula (USA). One of the darkest Anthuriums that exists - and always a favorite of almost anyone that has seen my collection of motherplants. My AoS has been a super easy and fast grower and I've created multiple seed batches using it. For example: AoS x ZxM 'BH'.

Schaltflächenbeschriftung

Anthurium carla x pap

This is one of my favorite motherplants. It's a carlablackiae x papillilaminum 'Fort Sherman'. The cross was done by Sam Rossi (USA), using his carla as the motherplant - and his papillilaminum 'Fort Sherman' (the original FS clone) as the pollen parent.

Schaltflächenbeschriftung

Anthurium pap RLxFS #2

This is my papillilaminum 'Ralph Lynam' x 'Fort Sherman' #2 clone. It's been a super easy and steady grower for me, with an amazing, narrow and elongated leaf shape, super dark coloration with some orange/red in the veins and quite a wide sinus aswell.

Schaltflächenbeschriftung

Anthurium pap Ralph Lynam self 'flat'/'orange'

This is my favorite papillilaminum. It's a 'Ralph Lynam' self. So a selfed seedling (S1) from the original 'RL' clone. And it stays consistently wide / has a flat sinus, with extremely red-orange veins.

And definitely my favorite papillilaminum.

Schaltflächenbeschriftung

Anthurium pap Ralph Lynam self #2

This is another papillilaminum 'Ralph Lynam' self I have in my collection. I call this one #2. It's always been extremely narrow and dark - with beautiful deep red veins.

Schaltflächenbeschriftung

Anthurium pap variegata

This is my variegated papillilaminum clone. I imported it in 2024 from a very well known Thai breeder/collector. It's a clone from one of their motherplants. I also call this the "variegated Thai pap", because I'm not 100% sure if it's actually a pure papillilaminum.

Anthurium besseae aff

I've imported this besseae aff circa in 2022 - from Ecuagenera.

This besseae aff has always had pitch black leaves with super bright, stunning and clean veins. It's definitely always been a favorite of mine - although not the easiest to grow from my experience.
